In a powerful display of solidarity, renowned celebrity Selena Gomez has added her voice to an open letter alongside artists such as Drake, Jennifer Lopez, and America Ferrera, calling on President Joe Biden and Congress to push for an immediate ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The initiative, named “The Artists4Ceasefire,” was sent to the U.S. government to implore their intervention in convincing both parties to de-escalate the hostilities that have plagued the region for weeks.

We come together as artists and advocates, but most importantly as human beings witnessing the devastating loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine” the letter states.

Selena Gomez’s participation in signing the Artists4Ceasefire letter underscores her genuine concern for the Palestinians. It indirectly urges Israel to halt its relentless attacks on Gaza, which have tragically claimed the lives of thousands of women, children, and elderly individuals. Gomez’s involvement amplifies the urgent call for a humanitarian ceasefire, transcending the world of entertainment to address the pressing need for peace in the troubled region.
