  Be very careful when dealing with this dealership, found a vehicle online for what I thought was a good price. Sent an inquiry about the vehicle that night, spoke with a representative at the dealership the next morning CONFIRMING availability and price; everything was confirmed. Drove 2.5 hours, get there the car is there and is everything it is suppose to be but the price…..the $13,988 car is now $17,178.25….(yes a 19% price hike)…..(yes that extra quarter)…..after this fee, that fee, blah blah blah, the extra add on money for not financing with them and their insane rates….because I went to my bank and beat their rate by almost 3% they wanted to add an extra $1k….UNBELIEVABLE

  Edit: Just following up that we were never reimbursed for the lunch that day. Sent the receipt as requested from the general manager while sitting at the restaurant. Never even got a reply.

  I’ve taken some time before posting my review because I wanted to calm down some. I have calmed down yet the feelings are the same. Team Chevrolet of Boone is not a business I will ever want to do business with again. I purchased my car from them a year ago, bought the extended warranty and have made payments on said vehicle ever since. since last year, I had a mental break, spent time in a hospital and was unable to go back to work. we’ve barely been making it since then. out of the blue about 2 weeks ago I received a text from a salesman at this dealership asking if we would be interested in selling it back to them. I explained this would not be possible because we had purchased the extended warranty and our loan was still more than the car was worth. I was told that could be refunded to get us closer to a deal. I thought it was a golden opportunity to get my family much needed help. so the conversation continued through text and numbers were thrown out there as a sight unseen offer because we lived over two hours away from the dealership. The last message regarding an amount was and I quote “So if we give you 16500 you would be good with that?” The conversation ended on that note because it was not enough to pay off the loan but we were still interested in the warranty refund so we were hoping to still go and sign the paperwork for that BUT only take one vehicle then a couple days later I get a call from someone else at the dealership saying she thinks they could do more than 16500 and to please bring the vehicle when we come to sign the warranty paperwork cause she thinks we’ll have a deal. so the following Saturday we take TWO vehicles over TWO hours to be offered 14000 for the vehicle. when I expressed my dismay the general manager comes and talks to us. when I point out the text where 16500 is mentioned, he says to me “it’s that tricky word IF that he used” and I said well what if I would have said yes! you have a deal what would have happened then… he had nothing to say. So i ask for the warranty paperwork so we can leave and they go over that with me and of course it’s 80 dollars less than what the salesman in text told me would be refunded. when i question this I’m told a cancelation fee has to be added and when i mention that that was not told to me on the phone, I’m told salesmen don’t know that information and that he’s the only one that does quotes on warranty refunds and he never did one for us with this salesman prior to us being in the dealership that day. I couldn’t believe it! They offered a tank of gas in ONE of our vehicles and lunch on them for our “time” but none of that takes away the fact an entire day was spent on this, money we didn’t have to travel was spent, and we were in my own words… flat out lied to! That is not how you do business at all. I was very disappointed.

  My appointment was made for the next day. I showed up about 20 minutes early and the check in process was smooth and easy. The service manager, Justin, was attentive and very helpful. My wait time for the service to be completed was very short. It was perhaps the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had in getting my vehicle serviced. Thank you Justin Clark and thank you TEAM.

  The experience was great from start to finish. I felt seen and heard by my sales rep (Steven Z) and his manager (Matt). Never once felt pressured or rushed. These guys were honest and respectful, which are rare traits in the auto sales industry. They never once tried to coerce me or deceive me.

  The purchase price was very fair and my mechanic said that the dealership did a phenomenal job detailing the vehicle – even removing dirt from “hard to reach” places in the undercarriage.

  The dealership itself is very nice and comfortable. I didn’t spend a ton of time in the waiting area, but the time that I did was comfortable.

  I don’t plan on buying another vehicle anytime soon, but my family and I are certainly Modern customers for life (or as long as we live in the area).

  Very easy process to purchase a new vehicle. Steven was excellent as our salesman. He provided all the timely info we needed, as we were purchasing from out of state. Their facility was immaculate, and stocked with coffee/snacks and even pet friendly. The little extras they gave us (hats, key chains, full tank of gas) were awesome. And Laurel was so fun and friendly, who did all the financials with payment. Would definitely use them again, even driving from another state!

  Friendliness and Professionalism of the Sales Agents, Finance Agent and Receptionist. After the transaction was completed, my sales representative (Will) went out of his way to make sure I understood all the latest technological advancements and answered all of my questions. As a customer in my 70s and trading in my 12 year old car the technical upgrades were somewhat overwhelming. But, by the time I left I felt very comfortable with my purchase experience. I plan to trade in another car in a year or two and Modern is absolutely where I plan to start shopping.

  Glad you asked! I feel I got reamed. $81 for an oil change…the advantage program. Talked to management, they don’t offer the basic oil change, so tough luck!…..so I guess I paid generously for the “complimentary” tire rotation. We purchased our CR-V there, we had all service and repairs done there, so I am sorely disappointed in their treatment of a loyal customer.
