Jessica Chastain, along with Adam Lambert, Dua Lipa, Gigi Hadid, and several other top artists, has signed an open letter urging President Joe Biden and Congress to push for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Palestine. The power plant in Gaza has also run out of fuel, resulting in a shutdown of essential services like electricity, water, and wastewater treatment. The humanitarian situation has reached a critical point, and yet further attacks are being reported. Jessica Chastain calls on President Joe Biden and Congress to call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel to prevent further loss of life.

By signing the Artists4Ceasefire letter, Jessica Chastain shows her concern for the Palestinians and indirectly urges Israel to halt the continuous attacks on Gaza, which have claimed the lives of thousands of women, young children, and elderly individuals.
