  Last month I bought a Nissan Frontier them. Overall I’m not happy with the experience. If I had other options for a truck I would have gone elsewhere. The truck was in good condition, but whatever mechanic of theirs who looked over it mixed up the radiator and reservoir caps leading to leaking coolant and overheating (My test drive wasn’t long enough to see it overheat). It’s an easy mistake to make, and not that big of a deal. The real kicker was how the signing of papers went. I did a credit application through their website and they did a decent job of finding a good rate at a bank. However when I went in to sign papers I found EVERYTHING had already been electronically signed by me…..but I hadn’t signed anything yet. They had taken my info from my credit application and used it to sign all the papers for me. When I complained they said they did it as a courtesy to make it go faster. I wasn’t impressed. All the papers were correct but I went over everything with a fine tooth comb to make sure.

  Upon picking up my license plate yesterday an employee confirmed that was their normal practice for everyone.

  The definition of unethical sales. You can be dead middle of making a deal and they will just drop you for the next person that comes in wanting that vehicle. Im 100% sure they tried to pull a bait and switch on me just based off the fact that there was zero effort made to make things right after they sold the vehicle that i had been approved off within minutes of my approval. And the sadest thing is i have gave them chance after chance to make things right and united auto sales has put in absolutely zero effort to do that. I am sure there is a ethical auto sales in ancorage however i am certain this is not it.

  Edit: the excuse that they came back with for being unethical is mute due to the fact i was literally waiting to see what my deposit was from the bank once that happened i than tried to get in touch with my sales person for hrs when i finally did i was informed the car i wanted had beem sold off. Maybe its just me but i do not find it ethical at all to have multiple sales bids going on with the same vehicle at once. And i was never informed this would be the case. Again i would have still considered working with this very unethical company had they made a single attempt to make up for the sale of the vehicle i was in the process of buying or had they even acknowledged the fact that it was wrong to sale it out from under me as i was very much working out the deal however they made no attempt and acted like it was no big deal at all so i moved on

  I just wanted to share our experience with Dependable Used Cars. We purchased a vehicle from them in Nov 2023, that evening the check engine light came on and started flashing. We brought the vehicle back the very next workday. Within a day their service manager called and said the issue was fixed and it was ready to be picked up. The issue was not fixed, the engine light started flashing and the vehicle was stalling again that same day. I brought the vehicle back a second time, the next day was told it was fixed and we can pick it up. Well the check engine light was flashing and the car was stalling by that evening. When we brought the vehicle back a third time they kept the vehicle nearly 3 weeks then told us that they are not able to fix the vehicle and don’t know why the check engine light is flashing, and it pick it up. To add to the frustration, we paid for the extended warranty and the warranty company still has not received the payment and it’s been well over a month.
