Celeb Solidarity: Caroline Polachek Backs Palestinians, Calls for Israeli Ceasefire

Caroline Polachek, a well-known celebrity, has joined Drake, Jennifer Lopez, America Ferrera, and several other famous artists in signing an open letter urging President Joe Biden and Congress to push for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Palestine.

The open letter, called The Artists4Ceasefire, demands that President Joe Biden and Congress work towards a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas. The Artists4Ceasefire open letter was sent to Biden and Congress in an effort to get the U.S. government to convince both parties to agree to de-escalate hostilities in the region after weeks of fighting.

“We come together as artists and advocates, but most importantly as human beings witnessing the devastating loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine,” reads the letter. Caroline Polachek’s participation in signing the Artists4Ceasefire letter shows her concern for Palestinians and indirectly appeals to Israel to stop the continuous attacks on Gaza, which have claimed the lives of thousands of women, children, and elderly individuals.

In addition to the devastating figures mentioned earlier, according to the government media office in Gaza, as of November 22, a total of 26 out of 33 hospitals in Gaza are not functioning, 278,000 housing units have been destroyed, and 311 schools have suffered severe damage. This staggering destruction highlights the urgent need for international support and humanitarian aid to assist the people of Gaza in their dire situation. The recent support for a ceasefire in Gaza from Caroline Polachek further emphasizes the sympathy and concern felt by individuals around the world towards the Palestinians who are currently enduring continuous and relentless airstrikes and ground attacks conducted by Israel in Gaza, Palestine.
