Signed up for unlimited figuring it was worth trying for one month but instead, it confirmed the reason I usually go to a self-wash. This car wash barely cleans anything other than a surface layer of dirt. This review applies to all locations. They all do a really sub par cleaning job. What an absolute rip off.

Please dont use this carwash!!! One of their brushes broke my passenger side mirror of my 2022 honda crv! They dont have a customer service phone number, the only way you can make a report is through email which takes forever to get a reply from them! They told me i had to wait 7-10 business days for them to do an investigation! I waited more than 10 business days and they never contacted me, I had to email them again and their respond was,” We have signs posted at the entrance of the wash letting our Customers know we are not liable for any damage to mirrors“ Im still trying to get a refund for this month i wont be using them anymore!

I have been a customer here about 5 or more years I used their different services in those years which they use it to rip off a customers but today this isn’t my issue I recently bought a new car which is $60k+ wanted to use this car wash I have started using about 10 to 20 days and then I have noticed that scratches all over the car I immediately stop using it and tried to contact the supervisor he took all the scratched areas and told me to wait 3-5 business days to get an answer then never got an answer I tried to contacted them many time after 3 weeks or so customer service sent an email saying that they are not responsible for the damage because I may have those scratches from other place and they were sure their machine is latest and no body complained before with this kind of issues! So this was their response for their long time customer! Please be careful before you decide to got to this car wash specially if you bought you car recently! I have also encountered someone having similar issues with his car!

This car wash is just that…a car wash! It does a decent enough job washing the outside, nothing is done to the inside. No vacuuming, washing windows, tire dressing, etc. The exterior of your car is washed. There are the added “extras” for the outside, but that’s it. Don’t expect an air freshener either.

First, the employee tried to convince me to buy their membership, but I refused. Then they said single car wash is $30. So the following pictures are what I get from a $30 car wash for 60 seconds!!!

if you have a tesla with nice wheels, do yourself a favor and don’t go here because if you do go here and they scratch your wheels like they did with mine, they’ll deny everything and tell you that they have this video of your car previously scratched, and they are not responsible. They are completely denying doing this. I’ve gone here with the same car for over three months and never had an issue. The person is arguing with me about some ridiculous claims that I have previous damage to the wheels yet they don’t realize that the damage is exactly the same on both the front and the back left tire, which is where the track is to bring the car into the car wash the bristles spin and they must’ve had a rough set of bristles today because it basically destroyed my wheels each wheel cost $1500. Rather than continue to argue with them and pointless emails and take them to small claims court. I’m gonna push social and you can make your own decisions based on the video. Backstory I was involved in a small hit on my body of my car only a few months ago, which did not do anything to the wheels. You can see it for yourself in the video. The thickness of the hard brushes they used, matched the surface area and thickness on my wheels for both the front and rear tires not just the rear tire where the damage was on the body. This type of abrasion only occurs from scratches, rubbing, bristles, etc. Mr. wash says that I had the same scratches before I entered the car wash which is completely insane. They have never asked to meet me in person. They’ve never asked to put the car on the track to see where the brush matches the wheel and they have not looked at the brushes and I guarantee you other Tesla owners are having this problem and haven’t found out yet. I am furious and canceling my accounts for the last 3 1/2 years I’ve used this place not a Day longer.

I asked the attendant for a single wash. Instead of ringing me up for this, he started entering information on his tablet and muttering stuff like “last name” and “license plate.”

I immediately became suspicious because I had not told this individual my name, and he could not have seen my license plate (as my state only issues rear plates).

I asked him to tell me what he was doing, and he did not answer. After asking again, I told him that I was going to leave if he did not tell me what he was doing. When he did not say anything for a third time, I told him that I was leaving, and I did so.

Based on this incident and similar experiences reported in the other reviews, it is my suspicion that this car wash is charging customers for a monthly subscription when they request a single wash. If true, this would be fraud.

I suggest that you avoid this business.

They tricked my teen into signing up for a reoccurring charge – he thought it was the same price for just 1 month. We have multiple charges for $39.99 a month.

Update: Mr. Wash staff have credited our account given the misunderstanding. This responsiveness is really appreciated.

A total SCAM !!!! Do not use Mr. Wash Car Wash. They are dishonest and fraud. It’s hard to reach customer service. I already filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Agency, they will investigate the fraudulent here shortly. On 9/22/2023 I got a $15 coupon for one car wash from my co-worker and went to Mr. Wash to wash a work vehicle (government vehicle) at 3817 Dupont Ave.,Kensington, MD. I went to the kios that Mr. Tarsis Delgado attended and tried to use the coupon. Mr. Delgado looked at the coupon and said to me ” You know we have a special for this month, if you pay $4.99 more you can wash this car unlimited times for the whole month.” He said “total of $19.99, it’s only $4.99 more” so I said “O K” and give him cash. He said “we only accept credit cards here”. I gave him my credit card (discover card). He punched in the code then gave me the receipt and credit card back so I went to wash the Town vehicle. I looked at the receipt and it says “EXP: 10/22/23” so I went back to wash the work vehicle a few more times. The last time was on or around 10/20/2023, I told Mr. Delgado this will be the last wash. He smiled and said “Oh no, you can continue to come and wash the car. The machine recognized your license plate” . That’s all Mr. Delgado said to me, did not mention any contract nor recurring charges nor membership fee at all. I did not go there after the coupon or receipt expired on 10/22/2023. On November 22, 2023 I noticed a charge from Mr. Wash Car Wash on my credit card account in the amount of $34.99 I immediately contacted my bank online and freeze my account but it was too late. It was a holiday weekend. I contacted Mr. Wash Car Wash by phone a few times and emailed them a few times with no response so I went to the place at 3817 Dupont Ave. requested to speak to the manager. The manager on duty told me he will cancel the license plate out from the machine but I have to contact the company via email only. I contacted my bank and disputed the charge as it is fraudulent (unauthorized charge). I did not sign up for any contract nor enrolled in any type of membership and the receipt showed expiration date as 10/22/2023 so the charge of $34.99 +,01 are unauthorized and fraud. Mr. Wash Car Wash has no right to store consumer’s credit card number at the machine and charges consumer any time any amount they wanted. It’s totally scam and fraudulent. It needed to be investigated and stopped.

Bad business !!! Very dishonest company, crooks and deceiving.I got a $15.00 coupon for 1 time use in September so I went there to try it. A guy talked me to get a month with unlimited wash for only $4.99 more ### did not mention ” recurring charge, did not mention membership fee, didn’t mention cancellation” nor any of these at all #### so I said ok I’ll pay $4.99 more for that. They refused to take cash and accepted only credit card, forced me to use my credit card so I gave him the card and he swiped my card, took the coupon did not say anything. I washed the Town car (Government work vehicle)a few times and stopped using it after the deadline on 10/22/23 BUT I got a big surprise now.. RECURRING charge on my credit card from Mr. Wash?!!!! This is a scam!!! A fraudulent. I immediately contacted my credit card company and freeze my account then contacted Mr. Wash a few times on the phone with no response, emailed them a few times.. they refused to refund my $34.99 back to my account up until I sent another email to them using my office address then they realized they have scammed a wrong person.. scammed government.. I have already filed complaints with the State and local government to investigate the fraud. They store consumers’ credit cards and use them without consent. It’s a fraud and deception. Their employees signed up monthly plans for customers without customers knowledge. They just want to upsell and make commissions without integrity. They’re very dishonest. Stay away from these crooks!!!

This car wash is the type that locks your tire in place to push the car thru the wash. The person directing me into the was not paying attention and cracked my tire cover on the equipment. He then proceeded to pound it back in place with his hand. When I asked him about it- he said “it’s okay”. Well first corner I took after the wash the cover flipped off. So my wash just cost me $100+ more for replacement tire covers (can’t buy 1). NOT WORTH IT!!

You drive the car through yourself which some people will prefer. They don’t vacuum the interior or clean the interior windows. My wheels are still dirty and the tire shine is sparse. There are lots of water spots. The employee at the check in was very nice.

Hi. I got my car washed there last Friday, but unfortunately it scratched the paint pretty bad in several places, even through to the metal. I could post pictures if that would be helpful. I think maybe the brushes should be checked. Since I will have to pay to have it repainted, what can you do to help fix this problem? Sorry, but I will probably never get a mechanical wash again, so a free mechanical wash would not be helpful. Also, I posted this question on Saturday, but no one responded. I don’t like to leave one star, but I think that’s what it is. Thanks for your support.

I paid for Deluxe treatment, but got Disgusting results!! $22 for a lousy wash, streaky windows and dirty wheel wells. The interior was not vacuumed, windows not cleaned and seats and dashboard not conditioned.

A gas station car wash would have done a better job. Once a loyal customer pleased with my purchase, I am now disgruntled, angry, and still in need of a car cleaning.

Skip Flagship! There service has gone down the drain.

The quality of service is sub par to say the least. For $39 I would expect my car to be properly vacuumed and wiped down. When my car was “finished” I notice dirt on the back seat and the center console hadn’t even been touched. I asked the ladies to re wipe and they basically flopped their dirty rags around spreading even more dirt and dust. I left frustrated but returned shortly after to speak to a manager. They “re cleaned” my car which was nice but still didn’t touch the center console. I won’t be wasting my time or money here again!

Eco-Friendly Car Wash: Sustainable Options for an Environmentally Conscious Clean

When it comes to keeping our cars sparkling clean, many of us may not realize the negative environmental impact of traditional car wash practices. From water wastage to pollutant runoff, conventional methods can harm both our immediate surroundings and the ecosystem as a whole. However, there are several eco-friendly car wash options available that allow us to keep our vehicles clean while minimizing our carbon footprint. Here are some sustainable alternatives to consider:

  • Waterless Car Wash: With this option, a waterless car wash solution is sprayed onto the vehicle’s surface, which is then wiped off with a microfiber cloth. This method eliminates the need for excessive water usage, saving gallons of water per wash. The cleaning solution is typically biodegradable and non-toxic, making it safe for the environment.
  • Steam Cleaning: Steam cleaning uses high-pressure steam to effectively remove dirt, grime, and stains from a car’s exterior and interior surfaces. It requires less water compared to traditional car wash methods and is chemical-free, making it an eco-friendly alternative.
  • Water Recycling Systems: Some professional car wash establishments have implemented water recycling systems to minimize water waste. These systems capture, filter, and reuse the water required for car washing, reducing water consumption significantly.
  • Mobile Car Wash: Mobile car wash services provide on-the-spot cleaning without the need for traveling to a car wash facility. These services often utilize eco-friendly products and employ techniques that minimize water usage.
  • DIY Eco-Friendly Car Wash: If you prefer washing your car at home, you can make your own eco-friendly car wash solution using biodegradable soap and natural ingredients. Opt for a bucket and sponge instead of using a hose, which can help save water. Additionally, choose a shaded area to prevent water evaporation and use a microfiber cloth for drying, reducing the need for towels.

By opting for these eco-friendly car wash alternatives, we can contribute to a cleaner and greener future while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our vehicles.

Exploring Car Wash Prices Across America

Here are some factors that can affect the cost of car washes in the USA:

  • Type of car wash: The type of car wash you choose will have a big impact on the cost. Automatic car washes are typically less expensive than touchless car washes, and full-service car washes are the most expensive.
  • Location: The location of the car wash can also affect the cost. Car washes in urban areas are typically more expensive than car washes in rural areas.
  • Size of the car: The size of your car will also affect the cost of the car wash. Larger cars will typically cost more to wash than smaller cars.
  • Additional services: You may also choose to add additional services to your car wash, such as undercarriage cleaning, tire shine, or interior vacuuming. These additional services will typically cost extra.

Here is a table of some average car wash prices in the USA:

Type of car wash Average price
Basic automatic car wash $10 – $20
Touchless car wash $15 – $30
Full-service car wash $20 – $50

It is important to note that these are just average prices, and the actual cost of a car wash may vary depending on the factors listed above.

Here are some tips for saving money on car washes:

  • Wash your car yourself: This is the most cost-effective way to clean your car.
  • Look for coupons or discounts: Many car washes offer coupons or discounts, so be sure to check before you go.
  • Wash your car during off-peak hours: Car washes are typically more expensive during peak hours, so try to wash your car during off-peak hours to save money.
  • Consider a membership: Some car washes offer memberships that can save you money on washes over time.

  1. If it was possible to give no stars, I would even giving not a star is not justified…

My first rate and review at July, 27th, 2023 was deleted…

We just got back from vacation in the mountains. There were some paths flooded and we had to drive through there with our car.

At Juli, 27th, 2023 (5:30 p.m.) I drove directly to Flagship at 2100 Chapman Avenue in Rockville and wanted to have the car cleaned. The interior was already cleaned by myself and I still wanted the interior and exterior cleaning for just under 38 USD.

An employee looked at the car after I had communicated my request and, based on the “condition” of the car, told me that I should pay a surcharge of 20 USD in addition to the approx. 38 USD. When I asked why I should pay a surcharge of 20 USD, he told me that the car was dirty?

Yes of course the car is dirty; of course I don’t drive a clean car to Flagship to clean it, or?

However, since the car is “only” driven through the car wash and no employee has to use a sponge himself, the surcharge of 20 USD is cheeky and in no way justified…

If the car is cleaned from the outside by an employee, a surcharge might be justified. But asking a surcharge for automatic laundry is not acceptable…

So far (since 2020) I have had our car cleaned inside and out every 2 weeks at 2100 Charpman Avenue for just under 38 USD. So 76 USD per month (3 years x 76 USD = 2736 USD).

Due to the one-time requested surcharge of 20 USD you have now lost a loyal customer and from today I will be hand washing my car myself and you can be annoyed with lost income of approx. 2736 USD in the next 3 years… In the last one Year there was an increase in price, but the current total of 38 USD still remains ?

Bad service and this is just a rip off for 1 time 20 USD…

  2. The pricing was exorbitant for the subpar service I received. I expected a reasonable fee for a car wash, but what I got was a terrible value for my money. I felt like I was taken advantage of, and the experience left me feeling ripped off.
The tires have none black shine coat on, and the vacuuming was done very poorly.

  3. The guy charged us for the most expensive one when we didn’t ask for it. When we go to pay the lady said oh well that’s what you got. When we got our car back after paying for the most expensive full service car wash it came back still dirty look at the pictures below. Workers were also very rude.

  4. It’s the only self car wash in this area, so I always came here. Tonight, this ** machine suddenly went off and wouldn’t give my coins back while the other bays worked without a problem. I had to drive into another bay to rinse off the foam before it dries on my paint. It’s only a few dollars, but it certainly ruined my experience. There’s no one around to help since it’s 10:30pm of course. Don’t know what say.

  5. I went to the Rockville location at the end of October and got the Ultimate car wash. At checkout, the cashier told me that I should upgrade to the unlimited package at $59.99 (unlimited car washed for a month) instead of paying the $36 for that one car was I just had done. I agreed to that. What she failed to mention was that the $59.99 would be a recurring charge to my credit card. I discovered this charge at the beginning of December and called them to have this charge removed because 1) I was not made aware of it, and 2) my schedule would not allow me to bring the car in in December. What ended up happening is that the recurring charge was cancelled but only going forward. I still have the end of November charge that I might not be able to use at all. So this is something you should be aware of if they push you to go with the unlimited package.

Also, in terms of service, even though I got the Ultimate car wash, which should include the interior, they did not touch a couple of spots where my backseat is dirty from a friend putting a small suitcase in. Other than that, they did a great job with the exterior and the floor mats. My problem is more with the recurring charge to my card and not the services. I will go back, for sure, but I will pay a lot more attention to what I am being charged.
