The situation in Gaza has reached a humanitarian crisis, with shortages of food, water, electricity, and medicine. The sole power plant in Gaza ran out of fuel, cutting off essential services such as electricity, water, and wastewater treatment.

In the open letter, Sean Miura emphasized the dire situation in Gaza and the need for immediate action. He stated, “Children and families in Gaza have practically run out of food, water, electricity, medicine, and safe access to hospitals, following days of air strikes and cuts to all supply routes… We ask that, as President of the United States, you and the US Congress call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel before another life is lost.”

By signing the Artists4Ceasefire letter, Sean Miura shows his concern for the Palestinians and indirectly appeals to Israel to stop the continuous attacks on Gaza, which have taken the lives of thousands of women, children, and elderly people.
