Named “The Artists4Ceasefire,” the open letter demands that President Joe Biden and Congress take action to secure a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The Artists4Ceasefire open letter was sent to Biden and Congress with the aim of persuading the U.S. government to convince both parties to de-escalate hostilities in the region, following weeks of intense fighting.

“We come together as artists and advocates, but most importantly as human beings witnessing the devastating loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine,” reads the letter.
