The open letter, named The Artists4Ceasefire, demands President Joe Biden and Congress to advocate for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The Artists4Ceasefire open letter was sent to Biden and Congress in an effort to encourage the U.S. government to convince both parties to agree to de-escalate hostilities in the region after weeks of fighting.

In the open letter, Lauren Jauregui conveyed the following message:

“I’m calling to urge you to stand on the side of humanity and call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the safe return of all hostages, and the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the civilians in Gaza.”
